A long string of health problems kept me away from pretty much everything I’ve wanted to do lately. Now that I’m finally feeling better, here’s a run-down of some things I’ve been working on.
I put a lot of my film, video, and other art findings into a series of Milanote boards! This can be found here:
The intention of the “Creative Universe” boards is to be a simple reference for anyone interested in getting into the same fields I am, and learn the tools and techniques I did. It covers writing, fonts and typography, 2D, 3D, photography, audio, and a lot more. It’s not a comprehensive learning tool by itself, but rather a collection of resources and tools to explore.
I’m learning the power of the Blender compositor, specifically for providing a “look” for something. The nitty-gritty details the compositor provides can make or break a rendered image. And it doesn’t take much! Example:
I got a few more pieces of equipment, including a ring light, a remote control for my A7iii camera, and a few other pieces. I don’t know if I’ll be doing any kind of regular vlogging, but I think I’ve got enough kit to do more short films effectively. I’ve once again reached the point where equipment alone will help me, and I need to improve my technique.
